WESTFIELD, MA – Elms College freshman runner Brendan Warren (Arlington, MA) and junior Alycia Dabrowski (Chicopee, MA) were the top overall finishers for the Blazers at Saturday morning’s James Earley men’s and women’s cross country invitational at Stanley Park.

Warren finished the men’s 8K race in a time of 34:11, while Dabrowski clocked a time of 23:15 in the women’s 5K race to highlight the Blazers’ top performances.

On the men’s side, Jonathan Joyce (Milford, MA) of Westfield State claimed top individual honors with a 26:22 time, while UMass-Dartmouth earned the top team honors.

For the women, Westfield’s Kerry Arouca (Hanson, MA) was the top overall finisher, turning in a time of 18:57, while Southern Maine garnered top team accolades.

The Blazers did not register a team score in either race.

Elms returns to action on Oct. 17 at the Western New England College (WNEC) Invitational. The women’s race is scheduled to start at 10:30 a.m. with the men’s race to follow at 11:15 a.m.
