Lane Finishes Fourth In Vermont 100-Mile Race

Elms College men and women's cross country head coach Amy Lane recently finished fourth in the Vermont 100-mile endurance race on Saturday, July 17.
The race, which started in Brownville, Vt. at 4:00 a.m., took the Blazers' seventh-year cross country coach 19 hours, 43 minutes and 43 seconds to complete, a staggering three hours faster than her time in 2009.
As a competitive runner, Coach Lane is currently one of the top
trail runners in New England, one of the top ultra runners in the
country, and holds numerous trail and ultra course records
throughout the region.
Coach Lane has also competed in several Boston Marathons,
completed two Vermont 100-mile races, and is the current course
record holder for the Pineland Farms 50-mile race.
