Jordan Zima Selected as NECC Player of the Week

ATTLEBORO, Mass. – Elms College junior Jordan Zima (Berlin, Conn.) was selected as the first New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Baseball Player of the Week for the 2016 season, announced by the league office Monday afternoon.

Zima opened the 2016 season batting. 533 with seven runs batted in and four runs scored across the Blazers first five games. In the season opener at Clark, Zima went 3-for-4 with a run scored and an RBI. In a doubleheader against Illinois College, Jordan was 1-for-3 and scored twice in game one, followed by going 2-for-3 with two RBIs in the nightcap. In a two-game sweep of Hiram, Zima went 2-for-5 at the dish with four RBIs in a pair of victories for Elms.

Zima and the Blazers will be back in action this week to conclude their run at the Gene Cusic Collegiate Classic in Fort Myers, Florida.
