Sean Milbier was hired as head coach of the Elms College Womens Soccer team prior to the 2013 season. He has led the Blazers to 69 wins in four years, including an NECC Tournament Championship in 2016. 

The Blazers had yet another successful season in 2017. The team finished with a 13-5-3 record, and a 6-1-1 conference record. Elms defeated Southern Vermont 2-1 in the NECC semifinal. The Blazers made their fifth straight finals appearance, before falling to Lesley in Penalty Kicks. Elms had four players named to the NECC first-team. Brie Voight, Mackenzie LaRochelle, Jacqueline Soucia, and Silvana Tellerico all made the list. Angelina Estrada was named to the second team, and Lillie Doherty, Kelsey Shea, and Rebecca Molin all made third team.

In 2016, the Blazers produced their most successful season in program history. The Blazers set a program record for wins in a season with an 18-4-1 mark, including the program’s first unbeaten season in conference play (9-0) en route to the top-seed in the New England Collegiate Conference Championship tournament. Elms opened the season with three straight non-conference victories, including the program’s first win over the University of Southern Maine (2-0). After suffering a 1-0 loss to Wellesley, the Blazers battled Babson College to a double-overtime tie (1-1). The Blazers rattled off six straight win, featuring non-conference victories over Nichols College (1-0), Western New England University (3-0), and Clark University (1-0). The Blazers won seven of nine games during the month of October to secure the one-seed in the Championship tournament. In the NECC tournament, Elms rolled past eighth-seeded Mitchell College, 6-0, in the quarterfinals, and then shutout Bay Path, 3-0, in the semifinals to advance to their fourth straight NECC title match. After falling to Lesley in the Championship three years in a row, the Blazers found redemption with 4-2 victory over the Lynx on Leary Field for the program’s third NECC Championship. In their NCAA Regional Championship opener, the Blazers battled second-ranked Williams College in a 3-0 loss. The Blazers cleaned up the NECC postseason awards, placing nine players on NECC All-Conference teams, highlighted by junior Brie Voight being tabbed as the NECC Player of the Year, while freshman Rebecca Molin received NECC Goalkeeper of the Year status. Voight and Molin earned First Team All-NECC honors, along with senior Kathleen Tuechler and juniors Jackie Soucia and Silvana Tellerico. Junior Mackenzie LaRochelle was named Second Team All-NECC, while senior Rachel Mick, junior Angelina Estrada, and sophomore Kelsey Shea received Third Team All-NECC accolades. Head Coach Sean Milbier was voted by his peers as the NECC Coach of the Year.

The 2015 campaign proved to be a success with a 16-5-2 mark, including an unbeaten 12-0-1 record at Leary Field, en route to the second seed in the NECC Championship Tournament. Elms opened the season with three straight non-conference victories, including the program’s first win over Rhode Island College (3-2). After a trip to the Erinn K. Brozman cup, the Blazers added 1-0 wins over Smith College and Western New England University, followed by the Blazers first win over Clark University (2-1). Elms closed the regular season with seven consecutive conference victories, including six shutouts, to roll into the NECC tournament as the two-seed. In the NECC tournament, Elms defeated Regis College, 2-0, in the first round, and then blanked Southern Vermont College, 2-0, in the semifinals to advance to the title game for the third straight year, and fourth appearance in the last five seasons. In the title game against Lesley University, the squads battled back-and-forth, but the Lynx edged out the lone goal of the contest on a header in the 39th minute to down Elms, 1-0. The Blazers earned a spot in the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Championship Tournament as the three-seed, facing sixth-seed Curry College in the Quarterfinals. The Blazers topped the Colonels on penalty kicks after a 1-1 draw to head into the ECAC Semifinals. Elms' season came to a close at the hands of Emerson College, 2-0, in their Semifinal match.

Four members of the Blazers were selected to All-Conference teams following the season. Senior Michelle Rossignol, junior Kathleen Tuechler, and sophomore Brie Voight were chosen as First Team All-NECC selections, while sophomore Jackie Soucia earned Second Team All-NECC honors.

During the 2014 season, Milbier continued the Blazers string of success, completing back-to-back 11 win season, matching the program high for wins in a season since 2006, en route to the second seed in the NECC Championship Tournament. Elms posted a stellar 8-1 mark in conference action during the 2014 season, and marched into the conference tournament going undefeated in their final eight matches.

In his first season with the Blazers, Milbier led the team to an 11-10-1 overall record and a second place finish in the New England Collegiate Conference. Milbier also gained the Blazers’ first-ever bid in the prestigious Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III New England Championship. 

Prior to joining Elms, Coach Milbier spent three years as assistant coach for the Western New England University women’s soccer team. During his time there, he helped direct the Golden Bears to a 25-34-4 overall record and three straight Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Championship tournament appearances, including the semifinals in 2010 and 2011. In 2010, Western New England also qualified for the ECAC Division III New England Championship. 

On the field, Coach Milbier is a former standout for the Golden Bears men’s soccer squad from 1997-2000, and served as a team captain his senior season. A forward, he compiled 46 points on 17 goals and 12 assists during his career. He was named MVP in his senior year and Player of the Year in 1999.  

Coach Milbier holds his US Soccer "D" License and earned his bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Western New England in 2001. Milbier resides in Springfield, Massachusetts with his wife, Sarah, and their daughters, Madeleine (3) and Sofia (1).
