Men And Women's Cross Country To Host Blazers Invitational

CHICOPEE, Mass. - The Elms College men and women's cross country teams will host their 2010 Blazers Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 25 at Chicopee Memorial State Park. The women's 5-kilometer race will begin at 11:00 a.m. with the men's 8-kilometer race to begin at 12:00 p.m.

The women's race will consist of a field of 16 teams including American International College (AIC), Bay Path College, Curry College, Eastern Nazarene College, Elms College, Framingham State University, Hampshire College, Johnson State College, Johnson & Wales University, Lasell College, Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts (MCLA), Mount Ida College, Newbury College, St. Joseph College (Conn.), University of New England (UNE) and Wheelock College.

Twelve teams will make up the men's race. Those teams are AIC, Eastern Nazarene, Elms, Framingham State, Hampshire, Johnson State, Johnson & Wales, Lasell, MCLA, Mount Ida, Newbury and UNE.

Results will be posted on coolrunning.com by Saturday evening.
