This gave Elms a run and made the score only 2-1 in favor of the Golden Bears. The Bears added two more runs in the top of the second, and then shut the Blazers bats down. With no offense, Elms could do nothing but sit back and watch the Bears lead grow in the fifth inning when Western New England scored two more runs to have a 6-1 lead. The Blazers added another run off of a first-year Griffen Levesque (Agawam, MA) sacrifice fly, scoring sophomore Chase Prestia (Newington, CT), but Elms could not score any more runs after that.
