Women’s Swimming Finishes NEISDA Championship in 15th Place

SOUTH KINGSTON, R.I. – The Elms College women's swim team finished in 15th place out of 20 teams at the 2013-14 New England Intercollegiate Swimming and Diving Association (NEISDA) Championship following day three action at the University of Rhode Island.

Elms finished 15th overall with 225 total points. Keene State College totaled 1664.5 to capture the team championship.

Blazers' senior swimmer Devon DeGrazia (Westport, Mass.) was named Swimmer of the Meet following the three-day competition.

DeGrazia placed second in the 1650-yard freestyle with a time of 18:11.10, while freshman Abigail Will (Hopkinton, Mass.) swam to a time of 1:08.95 in the 100-yard individual medley and finished 15th overall.

DeGrazia led off the 400-yard freestyle relay with a school record time of 55.35 as the team of DeGrazia, senior Kelly Gilhooly (Bloomfield, Mass.), senior Gabrielle Calvanese (Agawam, Mass.) and Will secured a 16th place time of 4:10.30.
