Schrutt Earns All-NEWLA Honors

ATTLEBORO, Mass. – Elms College senior goalkeeper Rachel Schrutt (Chicopee, Mass.), playing her first season of collegiate lacrosse, was named the New England Women's Lacrosse Alliance (NEWLA) Goalkeeper of the Year, Rookie of the Year and First Team All-NEWLA as announced by the league on Wednesday.

In eight league games, Schrutt registered 134 saves and ranked third in the conference with a .511 save percentage. In addition to her abilities in the net, Schrutt picked up 37 groundballs and caused eight turnovers. Schrutt is currently ranked second on the Blazers' all-time saves list with 236.
