Parks Named NECC Player of the Week
CHICOPEE, Mass. – Elms College junior forward Denisha Parks (Fall River, Mass.) was named the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Player of the Week in women's basketball as announced by the league office on Monday.
Parks notched her first weekly accolade of the season after helping Elms to three consecutive conference victories last week. Parks netted a game-high 29 points in a 62-44 win over Southern Vermont College and added 17 points and 13 points in wins over Newbury College (67-43) and Mitchell College (57-53) respectively. She also collected 20 rebounds against the Mountaineers and finished with 49 boards, seven assists, five steals and four blocks during the three game stretch.
