Lions Power Past Blazers in NECC Action

Chicopee, MA – The Elms College Softball team was in action on Wednesday afternoon hosting Eastern Nazarene College in a NECC doubleheader. The Blazers would drop both ends of the twin bill by the same score of 8-0.

Game One – Eastern Nazarene 8, Elms 0 (5innings)

The Lions would do all their scoring in the top of the 3^rd and 4^th innings, platting four runs in each frame. Lauren Clements would lead the way for ENC going 3 for 4 with two home runs and six RBI's.

The Blazers only hit in the game came off the bat of Katelyn Sylvia (Southwick, MA).

Elisabeth Schaffer would pitch all five innings for the Lions and pick up the win.

Lisa Lusardi (Enfield, CT) would take the loss for the Blazers.

Game Two – Lions 8, Elms 0 (5 innings)

Game two started out as a pitcher duel between the two starters. The Lions would take the lead in the top of the 4^th on a Kiley Bow 2 run homer. ENC would extend the lead in the top of the 5^th pushing across six more runs to go up 8-0.

The Blazers would pick up two hits in the game on singles from Cat Wrang (Middletown, CT) and Lisa Lusardi (Enfield, Ct).

Elisabeth Schaffer picked up her second win of the day for the Lions.

Raeanna Tumel would take the loss for the Blazers.

Elms will travel to Becker College on Saturday for a NECC doubleheader at 12pm and 2pm.
