Softball NECC Championship Tournament Pairings Announced

ATTLEBORO, Mass. – The Elms College softball team finished the 2010 New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) season with a 14-2 record and earned the second seed and a first round bye in this year's championship tournament.

Lesley University claimed the top seed for the tournament after playing to a 15-1 NECC record in 2010. Tournament action begins with quarterfinal matchups on Tuesday, May 4. 

Elms will take on the winner of the Newbury/Mitchell contest at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, May 7 at UMass Boston.

Quarterfinals • Tuesday, May 4

Game 1-No. 6 Newbury (12-22, 5-11) at No. 3 Mitchell (20-12, 12-4), 4:00 p.m.
Game 2-No. 5 Daniel Webster (13-16, 8-8) at No. 4 Bay Path (20-18, 9-7), 4:00 p.m.

Semifinals • Friday, May 7 (Hosted by Lesley at UMass Boston)
