Brown Named 2019-20 Monsignor Timothy J. Leary Award Winner

Chicopee, MA – The Elms College Athletic Department has named Nikolas Brown (Wellington, CT) the 2019-20 Monsignor Timothy J. Leary Award winner.

The Monsignor Timothy J. Leary Award is presented annually to one female and one male senior STUDENT-athlete for demonstrating Monsignor Leary's spirit, dedication, leadership and love of athletics.

"Nikolas Brown has been a leader from the moment that he walked onto Elms [campus]," said Coach Rob Southall. "He has been an excellent role model in his spirit, dedication, leadership, and love for athletics at Elms. As the rest of campus came to understand and appreciate his leadership, they kept elevating him into leadership positions on campus: serving as a resident assistant and serving as student representative on the Board of Trustees. Despite all the demands for his time, Nikolas could always be found supporting fellow athletes. I could not think of a better student athlete who demonstrates Monsignor Leary's spirit, dedication, leadership and love for Elms athletics."
