HOW IT HAPPENED

Elms held a 9-3 lead over the Chargers to open up the first set. With an early lead the Blazers were feeling confident as the set was leaning in their favor. But it was a quick turnaround once Colby-Sawyer made the adjustments needed to turn the Blazers six point lead into trailing by six. Despite the Blazers' determination to take the set back, the Chargers would record the first match point 19-23.

After a nine point run to open up the second set by the Chargers, it seemed that the Blazer wouldn't muscle up a mid match comeback. With a well secured ten point lead over the Blazers, the Chargers took the second set by storm. With a late run from Elms to diminish the deficit to only a 17-25 final set score.

With a last set rebuttal in the making the Elms College Women's Volleyball team were showing some grit as they battled point for point in the third. Despite the overall match score the Blazers were determined to win the set. After taking the lead after the tie at 16's the Blazers were just points from a match point to send it into extras. But the chargers did not let up and managed to snatch the match point with a final score of 21-25.

The Blazers would fall in three against the Chargers, finishing the day 0-2 in the conference tri-match.
