Women's Volleyball Swept in Non-Conference Tri-Match

CHICOPEE, MA - The Blazers were able to battle in all the sets against both the Framingham St. Rams and the Mount Holyoke Lyons matches, unable to secure a point caused three straight sets in each match.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Against the Framingham State Rams the Blazers were unable to find their footing as the Rams were determined to win the match. The Blazers only traile dby a couple points in the first set, but were unable to build up a run to flip the lead in their favor.

After three straight sets (20-25, 14-25, 17-25) the Rams were able to secure the match win to start off the non-conference tri match.

HOW IT HAPPENED

The Mount Holyoke College Lyons took the first match point, beating the Blazers only by a couple points in the first set.

It wasnt until the second set that the Blazers turne dup the heat on the Lyons. After going on a seven point run, the Blazers took the lead for their first time in the match. With a four point lead, 20-16 the Blazers were points away from securing their first match point of the day. with a late set rebuttle MHC set the match into extras, securing the second set 24-26.

The Blazers would fall in three against the Lyons, finishing the day 0-2 in the non-conference tri-match.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS

Jaylen Holman attains her first double double of the season with 15 digs and 23 assists

Samiyah Cabrera (Springfield, MA) also recorded her first collegiate double double with 13 kills and 11 digs.
