Women's Volleyball Fall in Four to Corsairs

NORTH DARTMOUTH, MA - women's Volleyball competed against the UMASS Dartmouth Corsairs Tuesday night where they fell in four sets with a final score of 1-3.

SCORE:

Bison : 3 (2-2)

Elms : 1 (0-4)

HOW IT HAPPENED:

The Corsairs opened up the match with two straight sets, holding the Blazers to 12 points in the first set and 13 in the second set.

With the match score 0-2 with the Corsairs leading heading into the third set the Blazers had to make an adjustment to stay alive. With the score neck and neck the whole set the Blazers completed three major scoring runs to keep them in the game and even cause lead changes to occur. It wasn't until the Blazers took a three point lead at 21-18, that the Blazers knew they were closing in on a set point. With multiple attack errors and a kill from Alyssa Moore (Ludlow, MA) and Samiyah Cabrera (Springfield, MA) to secure the Blazers only set match point of the night.

Corsairs would seal the match with a final set score of 7-25.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS

Alyssa Moore recorded 11 digs.

Jaylen Holman (Las Cruces, NM) dished out 14 assists.
