Blazers Were in the Fast Lane at Regis College Invite

Weston, MA – The Elms College swim team competed in a conference meet against Regis College.

THE BASICS:

1. Regis College 1st

2. Elms College 2nd

HOW IT HAPPENED:

Elms College competed in their first conference dual meet against Regis College. The Blazers started off strong in the 200-yard freestyle with Ashley Cronkhite (Lewiston, ME) finishing in second place while making a New England B cut. Nick Taylor (Turners Falls, MA) competed in the 50-yard freestyle and out touched a Regis swimmer for first place. Nick also made his second New England A time cut in the 100 butterfly. During the 50-yard breaststroke the Blazers had a great showing by senior Hope Daley (Merrimack, N.H.).

During the second half of the meet Cronkite was a half second away from a New Englands  A cut in the 100-yard freestyle.

"This meet was electric! Great competition and a good atmosphere. This was a benchmark meet where we had a lot of pressure to perform and we delivered. I am very proud of the team and I hope they are ready for the next part of the season. Go Blazers!"
