Blazers Made Waves at UMass Dartmouth

Dartmouth, MA – The Elms College swim team competed in a non-conference meet against University of Massachusetts Dartmouth.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

Elms College competed in their first dual meet against Umass Dartmouth this past Saturday. The Blazers started off strong in the 200-yard freestyle with Ashley Cronkhite (Lewiston, ME) first place finish. Nick Taylor (Turners Falls, MA) competed in the 50-yard backstroke and was .35 seconds away from his second New England's time cut. During the 50-yard breaststroke the Blazers captured first, fourth and fifth place with a solid performance by Hope Daley (Merrimack, N.H.).

During the second half of the meet the Blazers had a great showing in the 100-yard freestyle. Cronkite out touched Umass for first place and first year Chloe Poles (Burlington, MA) picked up third place.

"We had some great performances today against a strong team. We won some close races and left it all in the pool. The weeks leading up to our mid season invite are going to be challenging, but necessary. Go Blazers!"
