Blazers Fall to Sage

Chicopee, MA – The Elms College women's soccer dropped a non-conference home game to Sage College on Wednesday afternoon.

THE BASICS:

SCORE: Elms 0, Lasell 3

RECORDS: Elms (7-6-1, 6-4-0 GNAC), Sage (5-6-0, 1-2-0 Empire 8)

HOW IT HAPPENED:

The visitors opened the scoring at the 17 minute mark. Elms had its best chance to equalize in the 28^th minute when Kelley Malheiro (Long Island, NY) served a ball into the 18 yard box, Morgan Foucault (Putnam, CT) gathered the cross and fired a shot that was pushed aside by the Sage keeper. The Gators extended their lead right before the break, and took a 2-0 lead into halftime.

Sage added an insurance goal in the 78^th minute, and would go on to win 3-0

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

• Angela Picheo (Wood-Ridge, NJ)) made 8 saves in the game
• Elms was outshot 24-7
