HOW IT HAPPENED

The Blazers are on two win streak after putting another one in the books last night against the Albertus Magnus Falcons, final score 24-8.

Play started slow on Leary Field, but picked up with two back to back goals from Elise Paier (West Springfield, MA) and Ciersten Palumbo (Holbrook, NY).

The Blazers' attack was on fire during the rainy night, putting in 24 of the 39 shots taken on the net.  The team did not shy away from getting everyone in the action last night as all of the Blazers' attack scored, including double hatty by Senior Captain Taylor Borla (Southington, CT).  Not only did she come up with 6 goals but she shared the spotlight with 6 assists and racked up 8 draw controls on top of it all.  Both Elise Paier (West Springfield, MA) and Jackie Cronin (Smithtown, NY) came into the game hungry and contributed 5 goals and 6 ground balls a piece on the attack side.

Defensively Gianna Liquori (East Longmeadow, MA) controlled the tempo, saving 53% of the shots taken by the Falcons.  Her presence in net helped the Blazers play the lock down defense needed to keep the Falcons attack quiet.  Elms' defense totaled 45 ground balls on the night and 11 caused turnovers.

Leary Field saw all the action last night with the Blazers playing at their pace and left the Falcons guessing.
