HOW IT HAPPENED

On the second day of a back to back, the Blazers took on the Coast Guard Academy at Gordon College. The game was close early on, as Elms hung tough with Coast Guard. Jade Lewis and Julianne Lebow continued their stellar play from Friday night, putting the Blazers up. After that, Coast Guard went on a big win, setting themselves up with a comfortable lead. Rahmia Johnston and Talia Uribe both scored late for the Blazers, cutting the Elms deficit to 25-13 after the first quarter. Lewis, Johnston, and Lebow did all they could to keep Elms in the game, cutting the deficit to 5, but Coast Guard closed out the half up 44-31.

At the beginning of the second half, Coast Guard started to pull away. The Blazers struggled to score, and fell behind as much as 20. Jade Lewis continued to score for Elms, but the Blazers couldn't come up with any stops on the defensive end. At the end of three, the Blazers were down 71-47. The Blazers got some late scoring from Brianna Metellus, Johnston, and Lewis, but the Coast Guard offense was too much for Elms, besting them 90-63
