FRANKLIN MA- The Women come up with the conference victory after they took down the Dean College Bulldogs in Pieri Gymnasium on Saturday afternoon, 81-38 for the final.

How it happened

The Blazer Women got an early lead against Dean College, out scoring the Bulldogs 19-10 in the first quarter and ending the half adding 21 more points to gain a lead of 40-24. Kayla Jackson (saugus, MA) and Rahmia Johnston (Trumbull, CT) were stat leaders for the Blazers; Jackson recorded 14 points in the first half with 10 in just the second quarter, with Johnston also added double digits with 7 in the first quarter followed by 3 in the second. The Blazers went 100% from the foul line cashing in 6-6 and out rebounded the Bulldogs 19-13 in the first half. Elms head into the halftime break with a generous lead over Dean College, 40-24.

In the second half the Blazers held the Bulldogs to recording single digit quarters with five points in the third and ending the game with just nine points in the fourth. The Lightning had four players score in the double digits to with Jackson filling the stat sheet with 16 points, 13 rebounds, 5 assists and 1 steal. Johnston recorded 15 points, both Soliyana Asfaw (Livingston, NJ) and Mikayler Patch (North Attlebro, MA)  added 10 points toward the Blazers total each. The Blazers ended the game securing the conference win of 81-38 for the final over the Dean College Bulldgos.
