CHICOPEE, MA - Women's Basketball get taken down by the Colby- Sawyer Chargers in the conference match up on Wednesday night in Picknelly Arena, falling 56-37.

How It Happened

The Chargers opened up the first quarter going on a 8-0 point run over the Blazers within the first 3 minutes of play. Despite their slow start the Blazers were able to come back and put up 10 points, endding the quarter down 16-10 heading into the second quarter.

In the second quarter both Sarah Evangelista (West Haven, CT) and Talia Uribe () went 2-2 from the foul line bringing the Blazers to a 100% free throw percentage for the quarter. Both the Chargers and the Blazers were unsuccessful from the 3-Pt line each team going 0-5. The Blazers came up short by a rebound (9-8) and field goal (4-3) to the Chargers ending the half 28-20.

The Blazers recorded eleven boards in the third quarter, Mikayler Patch (North Attleboro, MA) and Soliyana Asfaw (Livingston, NJ) both attained three each. Colby-Sawyer's Marissa Holt put up 13 points in the third quarter helping the Chargers soar over the Blazers. Elms begins to fall behind ending the third, 48-32.

In the Final quarter the Blazers were unable to come back after the lead the Chargers had created. Despite their continuous battle the Blazers fell 56-37 for the final.
