Blazers Set for First-Round Showdown with Chargers

Chicopee, MA – The Elms College Women's Basketball Team finished their season with an impressive 13-8 overall record and 9-8 in GNAC play, earning the seventh seed in the conference tournament. The Blazers were lead all season by senior Angelica Peguero-Flores (Springfield, MA) and sophomore guard Rahmia Johnston (Trumbull, CT).

The Blazers will look to continue their strong play Tuesday, Feb. 22, at Picknelly Arena at 7 p.m. when they host the #10 seed, Colby-Sawyer. The Blazers defeated Colby-Sawyer earlier in the season, on the road, with a score of 68-60.

The winner of this first-round playoff game will go on to play the #2 seed, Albertus Magnus College Falcons, on Wednesday, Feb. 23, at 5:30 p.m.
