Blazers Come Back to Defeat the Cadets
NORTHFIELD, Vt. - The Elms women's basketball team picked up a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) win against Norwich University 68-58 on Tuesday evening in Andrews Hall.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
Aiyanalee Lopez (Leominster, MA) led the Blazers with 21 points and added 4 rebounds as Elms clashed with the Cadets on Tuesday night at Andrews Hall. The Blazers are 7-7 overall and 4-7 in the GNAC.
Angelica Peguero-Flores (Springfield, MA) added 15 points and 15 rebounds. While Rahmia Johnston (Trumbull, CT) added 7 rebounds and 14 points.
The Blazers shot 13-29 (44.83%) from the field in the first half as Lopez paced the team with 9 points. Johnston added 6 points and McKenzie Huria (Terryville, CT) scored 4 points. The Blazers were tied 31-31 at the half.
The Blazers successfully overtook the cadets and closed the gap in the fourth quarter as they shot 7-18 (38.9%) from the field. The Blazers were solid from the free-throw line, as they went 6-6. The Blazer offense was paced by Lopez earning eight points in the final minutes. The Blazers defeated the Cadets 68-58.
