WEST HARTFORD, Conn - The Elms College women's basketball team dropped their conference game tonight at University of Saint Joseph (CT), ending 67-46.

THE BASICS:

SCORE: Elms 46, USJ 67

RECORDS: Elms (4-1, 1-1 GNAC), USJ (3-2, 1-0 GNAC)

HOW IT HAPPENED:

Angelica Peguero-Flores (Springfield, MA) led the Blazers with 13 points and added 7 rebounds as Elms clashed with the Blue Jays on Tuesday night at the O'Connell Center.

McKenzie Huria (Terryville, CT) added 11 points, 6 rebounds, and 2 assists while Rahmia Johnston (Trumbull, CT) added 3 rebounds, 1 assists, and 11 points.

The Blazers held their own during the first quarter keeping the Blue Jays within striking distance. Elms continued to put pressure on the Blue Jays in the second quarter with Johnston and Huria notching 9 points combined for the quarter.

During the fourth period the Blazers started to regain lost ground while putting up 19 points for the quarter. Soliyana Asfaw (Livingston, NJ) put up 4 points as a first year.

The Blazers shot 15-53 (28.3%) from the field
Angelica Peguero-Flores posted 13 points on the night
Sadie Hunt (Sandwich, MA) recorded 5 rebounds and 1 assist on the night
