CAPE CORAL, Fla. - The Elms College softball team suffered a 3-1 loss to Medaille College and a 1-0 setback to Northland College in day one action of the 2013 Gene Cusic Classic on Saturday in Cape Coral, Fla.
Blazers' sophomore pitcher Jessica Colson (Agawam, Mass.) totaled nine strikeouts in the first game and sophomore pitcher Alyson Santerre (Thompson, Conn.) pitched the second game and fired a strikeout and allowed just one run.
Elms returns to action on Sunday, March 10 with a 9:00 a.m. contest against Bethany Lutheran College and an 11:00 a.m. game against North Park University.
