Softball Set For NECC Championship Tournament

CHICOPEE, Mass. – The second-seeded Elms College softball team will take on No. 3 Mitchell College in the semifinal round of the 2010 New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Championship tournament on Friday, May 7 at 12:00 p.m. at UMass-Boston.

The Blazers finished the regular season with a 17-15 overall record and tallied a 14-2 mark in conference action en route to the second seed and a first round bye in the post season tournament. Mitchell (21-12) upended No. 6 Newbury College, 13-0 to punch its ticket to the semifinals.  

UMass-Boston charges $6 per day to park in their area lots and a parking map is attached. The ninth annual Boston Marine Corps Honor Run will also take place on Saturday, May 8 and may cause traffic congestion.
