Giordano Places in Blazer Classic

CHICOPEE, MA - At the Chicopee Memorial State Park our Men's and Women's Cross Country team hosted their annual Blazer Classic. This year Hampshire College, Eastern Nazarene College, Mitchell College and Emmanuel College competed against the Blazers.

For the Men's 8K, senior Santino Giordano (Agawam, MA) finished 8th out of 17 male runners with a time of 33:49. Giordano placed individually in the men's race! Due to a knee injury junior Clement Kimani (worcester, MA) was unable to compete in the Blazer Classic.

Three of our Female runners finished in the top ten out of 22 runners in the 6K race. Olivia Morin (Wales, MA) a sophomore for Elms crossed the finish line first for the Blazers with a final time of 31:03, placing 5th overall. Olivia Beck (Southwick, MA) was just thirteen seconds behind Morin finishing the race at 31:16 taking the 6th place spot. First year Evelyn Pohlman (Whitinsville, MA) added two minutes to Becks time to finish at 33:16 to finish in 9th place.
