Men's Volleyball Surges to 3-0 Victory Over Chargers

CHICOPEE, MA - The Blazers were able to come up with the Conference win against the Colby Sawyer Chargers Thursday night in Picknelly Arena, set scores ( 25-20, 25-23, 25-20)

How it Happened

A first year setter for the Elms College Men's Volleyball team, Lewis Torres (Vega Baja, PR) recorded a double double with 16 assists and 10 digs against the Colby Sawyer Chargers. Torres also finished the match with the highest kill percentage of .667, his personal best for the season. Senior Cecil Villa (Springfield, MA) went to also add 10 digs in the match to end with the second highest dig count in the match, tying with the first year from Vega Baja, PR.

Senior Collin Liedke (Newington, CT) finished out the conference match with a hitting percentage of .312, with 7 kills and a team high of 13 digs.

Senior Klaytin Silva (Worcester, MA) led in Blocks assists with 3, followed by Moose (Ryan) Perry (Holyoke, MA) who attained 2 BA in the Conference match.

For the Chargers Isaac Davies was able to hammar down 18 kills in the match, with teammate CJ Murphy who handed out 28 assist.

The Blazers host a tri match this Saturday, April 1 between the visiting Dean College Bulldogs at 1Pm and the Wentworth Institute of Technology Leopards at 5PM. The Elms College Men's Volleyball team will be honoring their 5 seniors before the start of their second game on Saturday.
