Blazers Drop Conference Match Against Raiders, 3-0

CHICOPEE, MA - The Elms College Men's Volleyball team fought hard against the Rivier University Raiders, but were unable to secure a match point, falling 3-0 for the final.

How it Happened

First year Jairam Rodriguez (Cidra, PR) and Senior Moose Perry (Holyoke, MA) led the Blazers in kills with Rodriguez registering 8 in the conference match followed by Perry with 4. The first year from Puerto Rico attained a hitting percentage of .222 for the match and dished out 7 assists against the Raiders. 

Senior Libero/ Defense Specialist Collin Liedke (Newington, MA) went on to hand out 5 assists and record 10 digs against Rivier.

The Riaders had two players with assists in the double digits for the match, N. Rea and E. Soltis who both managed 17 assists apiece in the conference match. Senior S. Ly led for the Raiders recording 11 kills against the Blazers with a hitting percentage of .304.

The Blazers fell in three sets to the Raiders (25-20, 25-15, 25-16). The Elms College Men's Volleyball team managed many offensive runs during the conference match but were unable to surpass the Raiders.
