Men's Volleyball Drops Home Conference Match Against Lions

CHICOPEE, MA - The Elms College Men's Volleyball team came up short a couple points each set falling 0-3 to the Emerson College Lions.

How it Happened

Senior Collin Liedke (Newington, CT) finished the match against the Emerson College Lions attaning 20 digs, while Jairam Rodriguez (Vega Baja, PR) trailed closely behind Liedke with 15 digs.

The Blazers fell short in the first set only hammaring down eight kills against the Lions twelve. Emerson was able to capitalize on offensive swings recording the first match point having an .152 team hitting percentage. The Blazers fell 19-25 in the first set.

In the second set the Lions pulled away with an early lead, but the Blazers were not ready to give up the fight. The Blazers were only able to record five kills this set, but again made it a close match only coming up short by a couple points, 18-25.

In the final set both teams rattled off points back and forth causeing continuous lead changes for majority of the set. The Blazers grab the lead (21-20) towards the end but were unable to finish out the run and secure the set falling to a final set score of 21-25. Emerson College took the match in three.
