Blazers Fall to Endicott on the Road

HOW IT HAPPENED: 

 

 The first set began with back-and-forth action before a pair of service aces from Carlos Mercado put the Blazers up 11-7. A run from the Gulls saw the Blazers down 4 before a trio of points from Pedro De Jesus tied the set 18-18. The teams traded points and the teams saw themselves tied 24-24 before a pair of kills from Endicott sealed the set and the Blazers fell 24-26. The second set was again close before the Blazers trailed by 4 at 11-15. The Blazers closed the gap to 2 at 15-17 and remained close before a string of errors led Endicott to take the set 20-25. The Blazers trailed early before a Mercado kill ended their run at 5-11. Despite a late fight from the Blazers, Elms fell 13-25 in the set and 0-3 in the match. 

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

 

Mercado led the Blazer offense with 11 kills. Luis Martinez and De Jesus added 7 and 6 respectively. 

Collin Liedke led the defense with 9 kills while Mercado tabbed 7. 

Mercado led the Blazers with 3 service aces with De Jesus adding 2 and Antonio Delgado Rolon adding 1.
