Blazer Tally GNAC Win at Colby-Sawyer
NEW LONDON, NH– The Elm's College men's volleyball team picked up a GNAC win on the road at Colby-Sawyer, 3-0.
THE BASICS:

HOW IT HAPPENED: The Blazers jumped out to a 7-2 lead in the first set following a kill from Luis Martinez. A pair of kills from Antonio Delgado Rolon and Martinez put the Blazers up 17-11 before a trio of kills from Cecil Villa, Moose Perry, and Martinez closed out the set 25-16.
The second set saw the Blazers up 6-1 off a service run from Carlos Mercado. A Mercado kill put the Blazers up 16-8 before a pair of kills from Mercado and Perry alongside a Charger error ended the set 25-11.
The Blazers saw themselves down 0-5 in the third set before a trio of kills from Axelmanuel Figueroa Acevedo, Mercado, and Villa brought them even at 9-9. The game remained close before a bad set from the Chargers and a kill from Delgado Rolon put the Blazers up 19-18. The Blazers closed out the set on a 6-2 run to win 25-20. Elms won the match 3-0.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
Martinez led the all players with 12 kills and 4 aces and added 13 digs. Mercado and Delgado Rolon added 6 kills a piece.
Collin Liedke led all players with 14 digs while Delgado Rolon chipped in 7.
Mercado led the Blazer offense with 22 assists as the Blazers hit a match-high .368 in the second set and .241 for the match.
