Men’s Volleyball Selected Third in 2014 NECC Preseason Poll

NORTH ATTLEBORO, Mass. – The Elms College men's volleyball team was tabbed to finish third in the 2014 New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Preseason Poll as announced by the league earlier this week.

Endicott College received 49 total points and all seven first place votes to repeat as the conference champion. Daniel Webster College received 42 points followed by Elms with 31 points.

Under sixth-year head coach Sheila Gisbrecht, the Blazers return four starters from last year's squad which made its second consecutive appearance in the conference tournament title match. Elms will be led by senior outside hitter Bryson Rainey (Brookline, Mass.) who was named Honorable Mention All-NECC in 2013, and senior setter Kevin Welsh (Wilbraham, Mass.) who dished out 641 assists last season.
