How it Happened

In their season finale, the Blazers were hoping to pull the upset and hand Johnson & Wales a crucial loss. Elms was on the offensive early, as Emmanuel Monge and Jacobo Molina Ferrer both had chances to score for Elms, but the shots were saved. Alexander Pane and Connor Elloit put JWU on the board first with two consecutive goals at the 25th minute of play. Elms tried to keep up with the Wildcats, firing various shots on net themselves, but came up empty. The Wildcats scored another goal off a free kick to put them up 3-0 going into the half.

The second half didn't get much better for the Blazers, as the Wildcats scored a quick goal after halftime, courtesy of Befi Wanimbo. The Blazers played hard, but were unable to stop the Wildcats from scoring again, as two more goals put Elms down 6-0. Even though the Blazers lost, they have fought hard all year, and showed a lot of promise as the season went on.
