How it Happened

Elms wasted no time getting on the board early, as TJ Kennison put the Blazers up 1-0 less than three minutes into the game Sunday. Elms dominated the Cobleskill defensive side, constantly threatening to score. This kind of aggressive play by the Elms offense resulted in the Tigers failing to get a shot off on Berend Wittekamp before halftime. When the Blazers are aggressive like this, they're a very dangerous team on offense. Elms continued to control possession, and went into halftime protecting a 1-0 lead.

In the beginning of the second half, the Tigers were more aggressive, almost getting an early goal on Wittekamp. After a shot by Jacobo Molina Ferrer was saved, Cobleskill went all the way down the field and scored, tying the game at 1-1. Late in the game, Siebe Roelen and Jacobo Molina Ferrer both had opportunities to score and put Elms ahead, but were saved. The Blazers settled for a 1-1 tie with the Tigers.
