How it Happened

On the road, the Blazers were hoping to come out of the game with a conference win after the previous GNAC match earlier in the week.

Elms' offense was only able to rip three shots in the first half. Despite the scales being tilted in the Cadets favor, as they recorded six shots in the first half, the Blazers were able to make their mark in the 40th minute of play. Senior Brandyn Costa (Palmer, MA) snuck in a right footed tap to the bottom right corner of the Cadets goal. The Blazers goal boosted them to a 1-0 lead heading into the half with a shared assists by Joe Chartier (Palmer, MA) and Jacobo Molina Ferrer (Valencia, ESP)

The Norwich Cadets turned up their offensive push in the second half, adding 10 more shots to their stat count. Collin Liedke (Newington, CT) managed the pressure well saving six shots keeping the game in their grasp. But with a late game penalty in the 88th minute, the Cadets called Cullen Swet up to take a penalty kick for Norwich. Blazers late game aggression turned fatal as the Cadets tied up the game 1-1. Finishing out the GNAC play in a draw for the final score.
