How it Happened

Hoping to avenge their tough loss last game versus Mitchell, the Blazers traveled to Regis College with the hope of getting on the board early to make their mark on the game. They were not the ones who set the tone, as Regis scored their first goal just 5 minutes into the game from a shot by Javin Stickney. Regis fired shot after shot on Elms keeper Collin Liedke (Newington, CT), as he tried to do all he could to keep the game at 1-0 . Stickeny made his mark early, scoring his second goal less than seven minutes later to put Regis up 2-0. Elms could not get anything going in the first half, as they had to focus on keeping the game at bay going into halftime.

Regis picked up right where they left off going into the second half, scoring less than two minutes in to go up 3-0. TJ Kennison (Somers, CT) fired Elms' first shot of the game fifty-three minutes in, but was saved by Regis. Elms did all they could on offense, but only mustered three shots for the whole game. When the final whistle blew, Regis came out on top, winning 3-0.
