HOW IT HAPPENED

Elms would come out of the gate with the offensive momentum immediately after the opening faceoff as first-year Nicky Miltenberger (Ridge, NY) would in the faceoff and take the ball and score the opening goal in six seconds. The Blazers would continue their offensive success with a goal by sophomore Connor Tobin (Northampton, MA) a few seconds later and would be followed by a goal by first-year Miah Rondon to give Elms an early 3-0 lead. But Anna Maria would come back to take the lead by scoring four-straight goals. The Blazers would come back to tie the score with a goal by sophomore Tosh Marshall (Sylvan Lake, AB, Canada) and then would take the lead with 28 seconds remaining in the opening quarter with a goal by first-year Luciano Jordan Canino (Dalton, MA). Rondon would score the first goal of the second quarter, but the AMCats would take the lead by scoring another four-straight unanswered goals going into halftime with a 6-8 lead.

Elms would inch their way to regain the lead with a second goal by Canino, but the AMCats would score again. Canino would score a third goal and was quickly responded by another Anna Maria goal, but Canino would score once more to bring the score 9-10. Then in the fourth quarter, the Blazers would hold defensively, shutting down the AMCats offensively.
