CHICOPEE, MA - The Elms College Men's Lacrosse team hosted Regis College in non-conference action, Wednesday evening at Leary Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Elms would start the contest with an early goal from first-year Nicky Miltenberger (Ridge, NY) assisted by first-year Jesse Hagen (Cold Spring, NY). Moments later, first-year Luciano Jordan Canino (Dalton, MA) would score back-to-back unassisted goals to put the Blazers to a 3-0 lead. Elms would extend their lead with another goal from junior Matthew Salerno (Campbell Hall, NY), followed by a Regis goal, and a goal from sophomore Tosh Marshall (Sylvan Lake, AB, Canada) to close out the opening quarter. The two sides would trade possession throughout the second quarter, but the Pride would take advantage and score two goals to narrow the Blazers lead. Elms sophomore Connor Tobin (Northampton, MA) would score an up-goal to increase their lead, but Regis would answer with an additional two goals of their own, with a 6-5 score going into halftime.

The third quarter would see more of the two opponents turning over possession, until the Pride scored the only goal in the quarter with five minutes left. Regis would carry their momentum into the fourth quarter scoring three straight goals and taking the lead from the Blazers, 6-9. Elms would score one last goal, by Hagen, but that would not be enough to regain the lead, with Regis winning the contest 9-7.
