Fitzgibbons Places T17 in the GNAC Championship

NEW HAVEN, CT - The Elms Collège Golf Team Finished out the Great Northeast Athletic Conference Golf Championship in 7th place, senior Liam Fitzgibbons (Pittsfield, MA) took T17th place out of 48 golfers.

With day two complete the Elms College Golf team completed the GNAC Championship with a team score of 726; 166 over par. 

Liam Fitzgibbons (Pittsfield, MA) led for the Blazers both days of the tournament with a scores of 87 and 80. The senior outplayed his prior performance with 9 pars on day two, finishing just 10 over. Fitzgibbons completed 36 holes with 15 pars, and finished +27 over with a score of 167.

Miguel Pearce (Guilford, CT) started out with a birdie on day two of the tournament. The sophomore from Guilford finished 15 over with 6 pars and 1 birdie. Pearce placed second for the Blazers and 25th overall in the Championship, he shot 173 with an 88 in round one and an 84 for round 2.

Declan Flynn (Hingham, MA) finished 31st with a total score of 192, the junior shot a 100 in round one and a 92 for the final round. Connor Tobin (Northhampton, MA) shot a score of 199 with a 98 for round one and an 101 for round two, finishing the tournament in 34th. Junior Austin Scott (Chicopee, MA) placed 35th with a score of 203, he shot a 107 in round one and an 96 for the final round.

The Blazers will continue their season for one final match on October 20th at the Emmanuel Invitational at Emmanuel College.
