Score: Blazers 71  | Bulldogs 62

Records: Blazers (3-12) | Bulldogs (5-8)

Looking for their first conference win, the Blazers took on Dean College Saturday afternoon. Jake Midura and Aaron Sanchez got the scoring started for the Blazers early with efficient outside shooting and tough post play. Elms got contributions from a plethora of players, forcing Dean to come out of their zone. Tahquell Cadle and RJ Mayfield got to their spots on offense, having no problem getting to the basket and scoring wide open shots. Dean continued to hang around, but struggled offensively, as Elms rebounded tough, limiting the Bulldogs to one shot on many possessions. Elms took a 42-27 lead into halftime.

Dean responded by going on a 10-0 run coming out of halftime, but Cadle and Sanchez got the Blazers going with a few easy buckets on the offensive end. Elms went on a little scoring drought, resulting in Dean taking their first lead of the game with around 8 minutes left to go. Tahquell Cadle stepped up his play late for the Blazers, and with a fading layup recorded his 1000th point in an Elms uniform. The Blazers received a boost again from Mayfield and Sanchez, as both hit midrange jump shots and contested layups to give the Blazers the lead back. Dean tried to fight back late, and Elms walked out of Picknelly with a 71-62 lead.
