How it happened

In the Sig Makofski Invitational hosted by Union College the Elms College Blazers took on the undefeated Dutchman Saturday evening. In the opening half the Blazers fell short heading into the intermission trailing by 15 points. For the majority of the half the Elms men managed to keep the score close within just a basket or two of Union. With a shooting percentage from outside the arc of 33% and 68% from the line, the Blazers slowly watched the lead slip as the Dutchman pulled away due to their offensive success. Score 57-42 at the half.

In the second half, Union jumped up to a lead of 19 points, the largest lead of the game. The Blazers managed to minimize the Dutchman's lead and get the game within a 7 point difference, but were unable to fulfill a lead.
