How it happened

Early in the game, Suny Cobleskill was determined to take control. The Tigers came out strong early, forcing Elms to use a key timeout. Kishaun Cole (Sleepy Hollow, NY) and Tahquell Cadle (Bridgeport, CT) settled things down for the Blazers, cutting the Elms deficit to six early on. The Tigers got out in transition on the next couple of plays, extending their lead back to double digits. Late in the first half, Jake Midura (Chicopee, MA) and Addison Phifer (Hadley, MA) helped Elms cut the deficit back to five with strong scoring. Elms stayed in the game, but couldn't get things going offensively, and were never able to pull within closer than five before halftime. Cadle and Cole each went on a late scoring run in the first half, putting the Blazers within reach, as they were down 43-32 at half.

RJ Mayfield (Springfield, MA) and Ian Greene (Fort Worth, TX) got things started early for the Blazers in the new half, but they could never get the Tigers to give up their lead. Elms was always within reach of making a run, but didn't have enough offense to stay in the game. Phifer and Aaron Sanchez both contributed to the scoring, but Cobleskill went on a late run, pulling ahead by twenty-one. The Blazers fought hard in their 71-84 loss.
