Men's Basketball Suffers Setback at Home to Rivier

Chicopee, MA: The Elms College men's basketball team dropped a home GNAC game on Saturday afternoon to Rivier University at Picknelly Arena.

THE BASICS:

Score: Elms 67, Rivier 81

 Records: Elms (2-18, 2-13 GNAC) Rivier (9-12, 5-9 GNAC)

 HOW IT HAPPENED:

The Blazers would take a five-point lead early on in the first half, but that wouldn't last. Roy Mckeithen (Middlrtown, CT) did his best to keep Elms within striking distance, going into half-time for Elms with 13 points. Rivier would take a six-point lead into the locker room at 37-31.

The second half would see Rivier open its lead to 18 points with just a minute and 24 seconds to go and eventually to a road victory.

Mckeithen would have the team high again with nine points in the second.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

-  Mckeithen had the game high with 22 points.

-  Tahquell Cadle (Bridgeport, CT) had 16 points and 2 assists, 6 boards and 3 steals.
