Blazers Pick Up Win On The Road

NORTHFIELD, Vt. - The Elms men's basketball team picked up a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) win against Norwich University 81-72 on Tuesday evening in Andrews Hall.

RECORDS: Elms (2-14, 2-9 GNAC), NU (9-9, 4-6 GNAC)

HOW IT HAPPENED:

D.J. Edelen (Prince George, VA) led the Blazers with 21 points and added 9 rebounds as Elms clashed with the Cadets on Tuesday night at Andrews Hall. The Blazers are 2-14 overall and 2-9 in the GNAC.

Roy Mckeithen (-/-) added 16 points and 1 rebound. While Jaijuan Macklin (Sayreville, NJ) added 6 rebounds and 10 points.

The Blazers shot 13-36 (36.1%) from the field in the first half as Mckeithen paced the team with 16 points. Tahquell Cadle (Bridgeport, CT) added 9 points and Klaytin Silva (Worcester, MA) scored 6 points and 7 rebounds. The Blazers led 35-30 at the half.

The Blazers successfully blocked out the cadets from closing the gap in the second half as they shot 14-26 (53.8%) from the field. The Blazers were solid from the free-throw line, as they went 13-19. The Blazer offense was paced by Mckeithen off the bench. The Blazers defeated the Cadets 81-72.

- The Blazers shot 27-62 (43.5%) from the field and 16-24 (66.7%) from the free-throw line
- Mckeithen lead the Blazers with 21 points and 9 rebounds
