Buchanon Named NECC Rookie of the Week
ATTLEBORO, Mass. – For the second consecutive week, Elms College freshman guard Jerry Buchanon (Windsor, Conn.) was named the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Rookie of the Week in men's basketball as announced by the league office.
Buchanon finished with a total of 28 points including 11 in a loss at Newbury College during Elms' 2-1 week. Buchanon averaged 9.3 points in an average of 15.3 minutes played in reserve and shot a stellar 73.3-percent from the field including 5 of 9 from beyond the three point line.
