PAXTON, MA - The Elms College Field Hockey team fall 5-0 to the Anna Maria AMCATS in GNAC play Saturday afternoon.

How it happened

From the start, AMCATS  took to the offensive, applying pressure on the Blazers, putting up 6 shots in the first quarter. The Blazers were able to open up the field and transfer the play into the AMCATs defensive end. Blazers fired off two shots in the first quarter with one from senior Victoria Accorsi (East Windsor, CT) and from Samantha Bonnaeu (), but Hannah Tobey denied both attempts in the AMCATs cage. In the 6th minute Anna Marias' Ashley Garcia put the AMCATs on the board to boost them to a 1-0 lead over the Blazers, she would finish the game with two goals against the Blazers.

The Blazers continued to battle in the conference game, Kaitlyn Lynes (South Hadley, MA) stopped 9 of the Anna Maria shots to hold them to only a 5 goal lead. Anna Maria would shut out the Blazers, winning 5-0.
