Lynes Collects 11 Saves in Conference Loss

CHICOPEE, MA- Elms College Field Hockey fell to the Simmons University Sharks, 11-0 on Leary Field Tuesday night.

HOW IT HAPPENED

The Blazers knew that they had a tough fight ahead of them on Tuesday evening when going up against the Simmons University Sharks. Despite what the score and records reflect the Blazers played with grit and passion under the lights on Leary Field. The Sharks put up 25 shots on the Blazers' Katilyn Lynes (South Hadley, MA) continued to battle through the continuous pressure collecting 11 saves, with 7 in the first half followed by 4 in the second.

Sharks' Lily Tagleiri recorded a hat trick including a goal to the top left corner of the cage on a penalty stroke in the first quarter. 

Even with the constant pressure on the Blazers defense the Elms College Field Hockey team battled till the scoreboard went to zero.
