How it Happened

On the road, the Blazers were hoping to take some momentum with them to takedown Regis, but the Pride had other ideas. Frankie Alley wasted no time putting Regis up 2-0 in the blink of an eye, cutting up the Blazers defense early. Elms settled in after that, playing tough defense, but still couldn't get anything started on the offensive end. Alley struck again before halftime, putting the Pride up 3-0, as the Blazers were in danger of falling short in another contest. However, Victoria Accorsi (East Windsor, CT) gave Elms some momentum before halftime, and scored a goal to cut the deficit to 3-1.

In the second half, Kaitlyn Lynes (South Hadley, MA) played strong in the third period. Lynes has played strong all year, but the Blazers have struggled to score goals to give her a lead to sit back on. Gracie Marsh and Sarah Juskiewicz from Regis weren't planning on sitting back on defense and each scored to give the Pride a 5-1 lead. The Blazers couldn't get back on the board, and when the game ended, had lost 5-1.
